List of ministers ready to go to National Assembly - Presidency

PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari is to name his ministers this week and send them to the senate for
approval following the end of a screening exercise by the Department of State Services (DSS).
Since assuming office on May 29, President Buhari has been operating without ministers and has come under criticism for the delay in naming them. However, eager to avoid appointing anyone with a tainted past, President Buhari has asked the DSS to carefully scrutinise every nominee to ensure no one facing corruption charges gets appointed.
Baring last minute changes, President Buhari will send the names of his nominees to the National Assembly this week where they will face scrutiny from senators. One leading presidency source hinted that the delay in the release of the ministers might not be unconnected with the fact that some persons were found wanting during the exercise.
He added: “President Buhari is a just man who wants to get his things right. He was careful enough not to appoint anyone who might disgrace or dent his hard-earned name and reputation.
"The major reason for the delay was because some persons earlier nominated failed the DSS screening. The president believes that it is better to have the list late than to come out with some persons that would disgrace his government.”
According to the source, the list should be made public before Friday. Several names have been published on numerous social media but it is not yet clear if such lists are authentic or where they came from
